Highly recommended. With. Can't rave about this 2.5 hour cruise enough. I had a free afternoon and was fortunate to be recommended this sunset tour at the local tourist office. The colours of sunset over Exmouth Gulf on this small group tour were just spectacular; there were only 8 of us and so there was lots of room to move about and get into the right position to photograph the seascapes, the many whales that we saw and the lovely boat. . Skipper Sandy and helping hand Julia were very laid back knowledgeable. Thank you Sandy and Kiara! It was incredible! The Exmouth Gulf frequently has visits from humpback whales, manta rays, sharks and a myriad of fish species. The food was scrumptious and the bubbles were a treat to top off one of the best sunset sails I have been on. Plenty of whales, food and bubbles!! We had a lovely day with the crew and other passengers! Then as we turned to head back towards land, we watched one Humpback Whale breaching and pec slapping right in front of the setting sun - blissful ! Full 5*’s well deserved. Ian had defied the odds in surviving as long as he did, following his diagnosis of terminal cancer almost exactly a year ago. He fought with great stoicism, determination, unwavering optimism and dignity and not once did he complain of suffering. Ian started his career virtually penniless and worked tirelessly for everything he had. He was a charismatic, good-humoured and incredibly generous man and his passion for the town of Exmouth and the growth of its local economy, as well as tourism across the county as a whole, was undeniable, throughout his life. He was devoted to his business and was actively engaged in various official tourism associations, donated generously to numerous local charities and gave a vital voice to the many environmental matters which have arisen over the years. No words can do justice to the quality of this man and so I daren't try but we hope that you will enjoy looking back at some of these golden old photos, which illustrate his colourful and full life. Anyone who knew Ian would know that he would not want us to feel flat and miserable but rather, look at what he has left behind and make the most of every opportunity to continue to grow... ...and for goodness sake don't sit around doing nothing and feeling sad. Get up. Get going and crack on! Business will continue as usual here at Stuart Line as it has been for the past 12 months during Ian's illness, with Ian's incredibly competent son, Jake at the helm, as Ian would have wanted. Ian's family are asking for privacy at this overwhelming time and if you see Jake or the team out and about, just keep it 'boaty'! ⛵ Forever in our thoughts and forever in everything we do. We were absolutely not ready to lose you, dear Ian but your legacy will live on and we plan to make you proud, come hell or high water ❤️ Sail on, dear Ian. Fair winds and following seas.
